- The image on each chair is actually imbedded inside the fiberglass shell with a proprietary process developed by Modernica. Subtle imperfections are a natural part of this process. As in the different states of an artist’s etching, the result is that no two chairs are identical. Each is a unique work of art.
- The exterior back contour of the chairs’ shell is parchment in color, not white. The imagery tones range from a warm neutral to warm charcoal hue.
- There are two base options; the Eiffél base and The SpyderTM base. The SpyderTM base is designed and manufactured in Los Angeles by Modernica (US patent pending). The Eiffél base is visually light yet structurally strong. The finish is powder-coated in semi-gloss black. The SpyderTM base is made of sixteen layers of North American maple and walnut wood molded to perfection. It consists of two intersecting spars constructed of maple ply, contoured between two layers of walnut veneer and finished with a protective, dry satin coat.
